Decoration.   

The entrance foyer is in blue and silver with a fluted frieze and concealed lighting. It leads through to the stalls foyer in contrasting colour schemes with fluted walnut pilasters which carry walnut canopies on which the directional signs are carried. A similar treatment is carried up the main staircase to the circle foyer with its fluted walnut, sprayed gold scalloped decoration to the walls.

                The auditorium lighting is concealed in ceiling troughs and the general colour treatment of the auditorium is a scale of warm tones relieved gold with small contrasting accents in green, the seating capacity is 2200. The cost of building the State cinema was £100,000.
